Where no man has gone before...

Why would god put ice on mars?

Does it not make more sense logically that comets, which we know are made up of all the building blocks of life, came together and formed the planet and that is how the water came into being. Then after cooling from the bigbang and being to far from the soon the water froze.

So what purpose would it serve to for god to put ice on mars?

Here is a good question for you christians.

No christian has ever give me an answer to this:

If according to the bible and biblical scholars the earth and the galaxies is only about 6000 years, then how did light from galaxies that are millions of light years away reach earth in only 4000 years?

The B-I-B-L-E...that's the book for...well...not me...

But anyway...

I've been thinking. The Bible has been around for what, 2000 years-ish? Is there any other book that's been around so long that we would trust? Any other book that we would still consider accurate? What if "God" has changed his mind over the past couple thousand years and no one told us. Maybe what's written in the Bible is obsolete. What if "God" likes homosexuals and thinks abortion is okay? WHAT IF??? You know, if "God" really didn't like those things, wouldn't he have done something by now? I think that he would've... But he hasn't. So maybe he doesn't care, or maybe he doesn't exist.

Discuss.

Let's begin with a question!

People have had many different gods and many different religions/belief systems over the past several thousand years.

What makes you think that YOURS is the RIGHT one?

After all, we apparently haven't gotten in right in the past. What makes us so sure now? What's to say that things won't be completely different in another couple hundred years?

Discuss.

The Great Debate
